It starts with the chemical elements needed for life and moves on to biochemistry, cells, genetics, and evolution. That brings us to biological diversity, the stuff that makes most people love watching nature shows on TV: what kinds of plants and animals and fungi, and everything else, grows and moves and blooms all over the world.
